Do you find yourself wrestling with stomach pain after meals?

Despite trying various remedies like probiotics, vitamins, and supplements, do you find no respite from your discomfort?

Chiropractic care is the solution you've been seeking.

Understanding the Connection Between Chiropractic Care and Digestive Health

Digestion Ann Arbor
Your spine plays a crucial role in housing and protecting the nerves responsible for controlling various
bodily functions, including digestion. When misalignments, known as subluxations, occur along the spine, they can interfere with nerve communication and disrupt digestive processes. Chiropractic adjustments aim to correct these subluxations, restoring proper nerve function and enhancing the body's ability to regulate digestion.

The Three Main Cause of Tech Neck

Do you wake up with a stiff neck and pain?

Is it uncomfortable to turn your neck from side to side?

Your neck is designed to have a forward curve and constant stress can have an impact on that curve, leading to neck pain.

Neck Pain Ann Arbor
Here are the three main culprits in modern neck pain:

Traumas and Accidents - Whiplash injuries, sports accidents, and other accidents from your past can
lead to a decreased or reverse curve.

It Never Developed - The forward neck curve develops when we are babies. This primarily happens as we crawl and have tummy time, which ideally forces us to look upward and develop this curve. Decreased tummy time, rushed walking, and even baby activity centers and walkers stop or severely limit the development.

Chronic Looking Down -This is most commonly associated with technology, hence the name "tech neck." Phone use, computer screen time, and TV watching  are almost exclusively done while looking down. Do that for hours on end, day after day, and you end up with an adapted neck that has no curve.

What Causes Tech Neck?

A loss in the curve of the neck can potentially affect any of the nerves in your neck and even your upper
back. This loss of curve is increasingly more common. But what causes a straight neck, which we commonly call tech neck?

Common causes include:

  • Chronic looking down
  • Never developing a healthy curve
  • Trauma or accident

Understanding Migraines

Do you get migraines when you’re stressed?

Do you experience headaches accompanied by nausea or visual changes?

Many people think migraines are just "bad headaches" or assume you have to have extreme symptoms for them to be considered migraines. Neither is true.

Migraines are much more complex than headaches.

migraines ann arbor
What are Some Migraine Symptoms?

While migraines are typically associated with more pain than headaches, that isn't their only distinction.
Migraines are often accompanied by a throbbing or pulsing feeling, nausea, elevated heart rate, visual changes, and many other symptoms.

What Causes Migraines?

Migraines can be caused by lots of things - spinal issues, diet, exercise, stress, and more. The key is getting to the root of your specific migraines. The things that cause migraines – “triggers” – are things you can avoid to alleviate the frequency and intensity of your migraines.
